Not the same - disappointed - why change these?

"I love darn tough socks and never thought I would write a 1 star review. I bought a pair of these years ago and love them. They were 68% Merino Wool, 28% Nylon, 4% Lycra spandex. They are now 49% Merino Wool, 48% Nylon, 3% Lycra. I bought the exact same size and print. They are completely different socks. Less soft, less comfortable, longer (over the knee), thinner, the toe seam is poorly made and the heal now has an uncomfortable darting. Photographed my old pair are less white. These are so thin my feet are cold and the material is so stiff that they feel like compression socks now. Posting here and sending a message to support because these are so bad they feel like knock offs! Purchased from darn tough website."
