Darn Tough tackles the Mississippi!

"Yet another success for the best outdoor socks! Worn six days canoeing 100mi on the Upper Mississippi River through the sand, silt, rocks, and mud. Rinsed out and sun dried and still just as comfortable as the first day. There's a reason I only packed Darn Tough for Scout's Northern Tier High Adventure!"

Wore them for first time

"Wore them for first time for a week’s walking in Northumberland both on the coast and inland - varied mileage and ascent but typically 10 miles. I rinsed them through every evening, dry in morning and good to go. I was pleased with the product."

Iain R. (5/5)

Durable comfort

"This is not my first pair of Darn Tough Socks. I have been using their socks for over ten years and have not been disappointed. Very comfortable for long adventures. Although they can feel scratchy at first They soften up over time. I have found it best to take at least two pair on adventures. Can be rinsed out and hung up to dry. The lightweight socks a great for three seasons. they can be layered for more warmth. Great for anyone sho needs a comfortable all day sock."

Best socks ever!

"Have six pair of Darn Tough socks and the only brand I wear. I can definitely go 4 to 6 wearings without having to wash them. They hold their shape and color. They are cool in the summer and warm in the winter. They reduce abrasion and blisters. I not only recommended them to family, friends and coworkers, but I bought for them too. My first pair became a little thin in the heal after a couple years and they replaced that pair easily. They’re Darn Tough to beat."

Mike H. (5/5)

No complaints - They’re great!

"Seem more durable than traditional cotton fabric socks, but have only worn them once thus far. I really love the design and didn’t think they were too expensive for what you get and the lifetime guarantee. Was surprised how breathable and not hot they were during a hot humid Midwest summer day. Hope the wool will help add a nice layer of warty during the winter months. Was happy and they shipped out quickly. Proud to support quality, manufactured in America products."

Max M. (5/5)

A trip to the mountain every time I put them on!

"My new go-to everyday sock. They have a great feel and fit, along with outstanding performance on the trail. My feet stay cool in the heat, and they will help keep my feet warm and dry this winter. The artwork reminds me of all the great places I have hiked and have seen a sunset or sunrise."

Foot hug

"I've been wearing synthetic cycling socks for everything recently. They aren't that great. Darn Tough is like a soft hug for your foot. Wool is serious tech fiber - it regulates temperature really well and doesn't stink like synthetic fibers. I can wear these socks multiple days in a row if necessary and not hate myself for doing so. The sock looks good, feels quality and is backed by a lifetime warranty - why not buy another pair?"

Drew T. (5/5)

I have Darn Tough socks

"I have Darn Tough socks that are 10 years old and still in decent shape. No other sock I've used has lasted as long as these. Not hot, and just the right cushion for shoes or work boots."

Jeremy C. (5/5)

One of the few really

"One of the few really fun colorways/patterns for men. Love this sock. I only wear Darn Tough, so everything that applies to all Darn Tough socks obviously applies here as well - they're the only sock worth having, and when they wear out, you get to choose new ones!"

Wm E. (5/5)

I love them. There’s a

"I love them. There’s a clear sense, when I’m wearing them, that they’re different. Made better. Sturdier. They’re handsomely designed with enough harmonized color variety to look great with almost anything I wear but not so much that they feel garish when I’m going for a serious look with a little accent to spice things up. They hold their shape, they’re easy to care for. Like I said. I longer then. I wish the dark reinforced toe area was just a little wider. It barely spans all of my toes and sometimes feels a little weird."

Q&A

Does this sock have the same cushioning level and tech as the PCT and CDT lightweight trail socks? Wool, nylon and spandex content look similar. The other two socks appear to have tighter knit around the calves. Would the named trail socks be more durable regarding bushes, rocks and other snags?
Hi Ian, all three of these styles are Lightweight Hiking socks that feature cushion under foot, around the toes, and the heel. The trail socks offer a slightly longer cushion up towards the Achilles. These three styles will offer similar comfort and durability, the main difference being the designs.
