Not really ultra-lightweight

"I like ultra-lightweight wool socks. The cushion on these socks make them feel like medium weight socks in volume and in heat. Also, I don't like all the "loose" threads on the inside from the pattern. I bought this pair and a pair of ultralight non-cushion socks that just have stripes to see which I would like. I much prefer the non-cushion pair. These are nice socks...just not for me. A bit disappointed. I will stick with no cushion, solid color in the future."

Awesome sock, color not the most functional color

"I've used these socks on about 1500 miles of backpacking and fastpacking and then used them for a 100 mile ultra. They've held up well. Can't complain. Balegas, Dry Max, Fits, Smartwool, Injinjis, Bombas - these Darn Toughs are just the best for my feet, shoe choice, and activities. I live out west in an arid area but you're going to have river crossings, it's going to rain, etc. I wear these with trail runners and really appreciate how quickly they dry. I feel like the trail socks are nice "around towners" but these are what I slap on when the forecast is cloudy with a chance of pain. What I can and will complain about is that they can easily get lost when you're camping because of the olive color, especially if you're doing things like washing them in creeks and/or hanging them on vegetation to dry. And stuff gets tossed around and lost at aid stations, especially if you're changing your socks in the middle of the night. I'm a dirtbag who loves function and if you could see them from space that would be helpful to me."
