How do I wash my Darn Tough socks?
Machine wash in cold water on gentle cycle with socks inside-out. Do not bleach. Tumble dry on low or hang dry. Do not dry clean.
I think my socks shrunk in the wash. What do I do?
No worries, your socks did not shrink. Like how a pair of jeans feels smaller after you wash them then they stretch back out, our Merino Wool socks go through the same fabric recovery process. With a little bit of wear, the socks will relax.
Do I need to shrink Darn Tough socks?
No, our socks are preshrunk. They are a snug fit and should be fitted according to your shoe size. You can find our sizing guides on each sock page and Size Chart page.
Why do my socks wear out in the same place?
Everyone’s feet are different, but generally speaking, if a person has pressure point spots, it’s more likely that a sock could wear out there. If you manage to wear a hole in our socks, we'll replace them as part of our Unconditional Lifetime Guarantee.
