"I bought these as I fancied a bit more colour rather than always going for the traditional black. The Rye colour is a nice change without being too bright or flashy. Like the other Darn Tough socks I’ve tried, they feel really well made and rugged while still being comfortable enough to wear all day. I can get 2–3 days’ wear out of them without them becoming uncomfortable or developing the usual sweaty sock smell I’ve had with other socks. They can be a little tight when you first put them on, but once they’re on they’re comfortable and stay put. They’re not cheap, but I’ve found them worth the money so far. They’ve become my everyday socks, and having a different colour is a nice change from black."

"Dry and Comfortable. I bought both Lightweight and Cushioned Lightweight. Both have impressed me as doing what is advertised. I have previously had Merino-blend socks (CC branded) that shrunk and were virtually worthless. I'd purchased about 20 pairs and when relating my problem to the manufacturer they replaced 6 pairs. I asked Darn Tough about sizing, thinking I might buy a larger size and that's when I learned their socks are pre-washed / shrunk. These people are GREAT! And so are their socks."

Best dress sock, not the best of Darn Tough.

"Best dress socks I’ve ever worn! Compared to the same thickness and length of, say, a cotton/poly blend sock, these are much more comfortable – especially in regard to handling moisture. I can easily wear these for two days without them becoming stinky; however, my cushioned Darn Tough socks handle both moisture and smell even better. I would also add that the design is a bit odd (it looks a little ragged where the fabric from the top of the foot meets the bottom, which I don’t love), and the toe fit is just a little funky (the sock sticks out past my smaller toes). In short, definitely a great pair of dress socks, just not my favorite sock from Darn Tough."
