Reviews

Stopgap solution, needs a full cushion variant.

"Bought as a stopgap for summer months as DT doesn't make full cushion midweight quarter socks. Feel is good, works well with daily usage. I find that the top of the ankle feels uncomfortable when i first put them on, then gets better over the day. Visual design is nonetheless excellent. The standard cushion is acceptable. However I prefer the full cushion on DT's boot height, full cushion, midweight socks for longer term/all day performance Recommend to DT to develop full cushion, midweight, quarter height socks similar to their boot height ones."

Amazing

"I am touchy about what goes on my feet. These are the only sock brand I will own. I literally got rid of every other sock and invested in my happiness with Darn tough. The fit is perfect. Construction excellent. No seams. All types are offered fit every need. Not only for hiking, these can be used every day. Buy one cry never!"

I there were more on

"I there were more on the top, but maybe that’s not ‘midweight’. My size is between the small and medium, so sometimes one fits better than the other. The small was not available for the version of this sock I wanted and the medium is just a little too long. Oh well. Still comfy. No regrets."

Love Darn Tough

"Live these socks for all year round. The cusion definitely helps reduce fatigue and aches after long work days. And the fact that merino wool breathes so well and dries easily without all the stink makes any of the socks from darn tough the only socks I wear. I got these ones as warranty replacements for a pair I've had for years. These socks really are Darn Tough."

Midweight Quarter Socks

"I have many pairs of Darn Tough socks but I didn't have any midweight quarter socks. ✔️ Now I do. Darn Tough are the only socks I wear."

Dale M. (5/5)

Q&A

How do they run as far as fit
Our socks are designed to have a snug, performance fit to stay in place and prevent hot spots and blisters.
Are these socks tough enough to be use in a normal washing machine and normal dryer machine? Should I be concern that it might strink because I read on Amazon review it does.
We recommend washing your Darn Tough socks in cold or warm water and either line or tumble drying on low to no heat. Don't be alarmed if they come out of the wash looking smaller than when they went in. Much like a pair of jeans, there is a fabric recovery period where the socks stretch out a little to fit your feet again. While standard detergent is fine, it's best to stay away from fabric softener, Oxyclean, and bleach. If your socks start to feel like they aren't as soft as they once were, it can help to wash them with a specific wool wash/detergent like Eucalan or Nikwax. Laundering inside out also helps fluff up the cushion layer which can flatten over years of use.
