The height of the sock rose high enough so that the ankle brace I wear, was cushioned against the sock. Love the toe and heel fit of Darn Tough socks and especially these socks. These are the most comfortable

"These are the most comfortable socks I have ever worn in my life and in 77 years I have certainly tried my share of brands! "I like the lightweight sock that still has the cushioning for the steel toe. It is a win win for me, especially with summer coming. I should mention that I am in between sizes and med. fits great heal to toe but is too tight but large is a little long but width is good. Don't know which I prefer yet. I figure large will shrink a bit or medium will stretch out a bit. Time will tell I guess."
