Named after a 70’s punk band that travelled and performed at lean-tos along the Appalachian Trail, the Van Grizzle is seasoned for sure. Actually, we just made that up… but what’s pure fact is that these knits are grizzly by nature. Tough, too. Moose, bears, even trout—the van grizzles on.

Unrivaled Durability

We make one thing, and we make it better than anyone else – ask any thru hiker and you will likely hear the same. In order to unconditionally guarantee a hiking sock for life, it must be durable. It must maintain its comfort, and it has to fit for miles upon miles on-trail. The socks that do return through warranty inform how we can improve. And we do. Our guarantee is a promise to you, but it’s a standard for us. We have yet to produce our best sock, but we get better with every step.

Where are my blumming socks ??

"I ordered these socks several weeks ago but they still haven't arrived !! You were quick to take the money out of my bank though! If this is your idea of a good service I won't be ordering any more from you !!!"

Why wouldn’t you buy socks for life ?

"These socks are amazing..and the lifetime guarantee means you would be silly if you bought any other make of socks. Can’t praise this company enough."

A UK casual walker

"Very warm and comfy, I am someone who used to have to wear two layers of socks to keep my feet warm, but do not need to with these. They remind me of heat holder socks, but far more durable, I am two weeks into my purchase, but hoping this stands up. Only negative is I find the socks smell from perspiration more than other socks I have worn, but guess that is part of the warm experience."

— Mark W. (4/5)

Replacement pair

"Only hiking socks I'll buy ( and i have quite a few pairs ), these were a replacement pair for some that had served their time well. Hassle free replacement. You have genuinely got a customer for life."
